Displaying Distribution of Load 2
Tips & Tricks
In order to detect the governing internal forces of a plate, a checkerboard loading is commonly used. Since it is not necessary to divide the surface into individual load segments, loading is usually carried out by means of free rectangular loads. However, in comparison with a “normal” surface load, there is the disadvantage of the excluded “cover” of the load in the graphics and therefore the load distribution is not clearly visible in the graphical printout.
Remedy: If you display the distribution of a load in the Results navigator, the 2D FE elements are graphically colored and displayed with associated values in the adjacent color panel.
