The model "Stair Tower" was authored by Patrik Andel from the Department of Steel and Timber Structures at CTU in Prague. The work is part of the Dlubal Talent CTU competition. The structure consists of steel stair flights and an upper intermediate landing, which are modeled as separate welded assemblies. The railing is included for load transfer and stiffness effects, assessed manually. The joints of the railing posts are free only around the axis perpendicular to the railing plane. Nonlinear supports were determined for the selected limit state.
