One of the most recent challenges in which the SDEA Engineering Solutions team has been involved has been to support the GALIGRU company in improving the current designs of its security structures intended to supply civil works.

Currently, an international shortage of various products made of structural steel, such as tubes and cross-sections, is being experienced. This shortage has led to the fact that different companies basing their products on these materials have to think about alternative solutions that consider the current availability of the necessary materials on the market.

Therefore, SDEA Solutions, in its role as an engineering service provider, has carried out an exhaustive comparison of software packages that allow support, taking into account one main limitation: providing an agile response to the various changes that may exist in the designs of security structures based on the materials available.

SDEA has chosen Dlubal's RFEM software, as it has a very pleasant learning curve (as easy to handle as an Excel sheet), as well as a large amount of learning material available online and an intuitive graphical interface; furthermore, it is user-friendly. In addition, the wide variety of cross-sections available in the program’s integrated library deserves special mention, as well as the add-on modules that speed up the post-processing process in a finite element analysis, such as RF-STEEL and RF-FOUNDATION Pro, by providing different international standards.

Dlubal's RFEM is undoubtedly a powerful structural analysis software that allows users to meet the demands of various structural calculation projects in an efficient manner, guaranteeing an excellent technical-economic relationship.
