Steel Hall with Truss Girders, China

The project comprises a steel structure with wide-span beams, steel frame supports, roof bracing, and wall cladding. A modular lifting method using cranes was applied to assemble the 30-meter-long girders. Modeling and design checks were carried out using RFEM 6, which allowed for the structural model to be checked and stability to be ensured at every construction stage.

Due to the large number of beams with a maximum span of 30 meters, ensuring stability during assembly was of key importance. From an efficient and practical point of view, a modular lifting method with crane installation of entire structural components was chosen for the assembly. RFEM 6 was used to check the structural model, ensuring a convenient and cost-efficient construction process.

The structural engineers used the Construction Stages add-on to define each construction stage in order to ensure safety throughout the entire construction process. They also used the Steel Design add-on to assess the load-bearing capacity of the steel components at each stage, thereby ensuring structural safety during construction.
