Analysis of Various Possible Structural Systems of Frame Based on Production Steel Hall

When building industrial halls, there may be different solutions for the structure. On the one hand, there is the question of the suitable material and, on the other hand, a structural system. Within the thesis, this question is to be analyzed on the basis of a real construction project in Haiterbach, Germany.

The production hall is a two-bay hall made of steel. The objective of the thesis is to critically analyze the following variations:

- Different types of supports (hinged, restrained)

- Various design options for trusses

- Execution of the trusses in timber

The basis of all strength calculations is the partial safety concept (DIN 1055‑100) and the associated special technical standards.
