If you are planning a building with several stories, the Building Model add-on for RFEM is the perfect tool for you. It allows you to define a building by means of stories at specified elevations. You can also adjust the stories in many ways afterwards – exactly the way you need. You can always rely on RFEM. It displays all the result information, such as story mass, center of rigidity, shear wall internal forces, and much more, both in tabular and graphical form.
When modeling a story, the story masses are considered and displayed. Structural elements are listed, including their properties, and the automated generation of result sections on shear walls improves the output of section resultants in the global direction for the determination of shear forces. Users have the option to define rigid diaphragms story by story, which allows for the modeling of floors as 2D positions within the 3D model.
