Stiffening and Shear Wall Tab for Building Model in RFEM 6

Using the Building Model add-on, you can efficiently calculate the stiffening of your building. Depending on the selected story modeling, the horizontal forces are directly introduced into the walls to absorb the horizontal loads from wind, earthquakes, or other actions.

The shear wall design is simple and efficient with the add-on Building Model. The results of the shear walls are integrated using a result beam, and RFEM automatically calculates internal forces such as shear stresses and deformations. Design checks are carried out according to the selected standard, such as EC 5, NDS, or CSA O86 for timber or EC2, ACI, or CSA A23.3 for concrete, in the respective design add-on. The Concrete Design add-on directly accesses the Building Model settings and, in connection with the Building Model, allows for an optimized reinforcement layout for shear walls.
