Free Webinar | Seismic Design According to Eurocode 8 in RFEM 6 and RSTAB 9

This webinar shows how to perform seismic design according to the response spectrum analysis in the structural analysis and design programs RFEM 6 and RSTAB 9.

Send us your questions about the topic of the presentation up to two days in advance. If possible, we will answer them during the webinar.

Below, under Models to Download, you will find the model(s) used in the webinar. This will allow you to independently follow the webinar step by step with the provided model after the presentation is complete.

Additionally, each participant will receive a certificate indicating the name provided during the registration.

Time Schedule

- Modal analysis using a practical example
- Seismic design according to the response spectrum analysis
- Use of results for the structural component design
- Use of the Add-on Building Model for the display of interstory drifts, the forces in shear walls etc.
- Printout report documentation

Please Note

During the presentation, you will have the opportunity to ask individual questions.

A computer with internet access is required as well as a loudspeaker, headphones, headset or any other listening device. Alternatively, you can dial in using a phone line for audio connection.

Take advantage of this free webinar and sign up today! The number of participants is limited. After your registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation e-mail including information on how to join the webinar.

RFEM 6
Hall with Arched Roof

Main Program

The structural analysis program RFEM 6 is the basis of a modular software system. The main program RFEM 6 is used to define structures, materials, and loads of planar and spatial structural systems consisting of plates, walls, shells, and members. The program can also design combined structures as well as solid and contact elements.

RSTAB 9
Structural Frame and Truss Analysis Software

Main Program

The structural frame & truss analysis and design program RSTAB 9 contains a similar range of functions as the FEA software RFEM, paying special attention to frames and trusses. Therefore, it is very easy to use and for many years, it has been the best choice for the structural analysis of beam structures consisting of steel, concrete, timber, aluminum, and other materials.

Response Spectrum Analysis

Dynamic Analysis

In the Response Spectrum Analysis add-on, seismic analysis is performed using multi-modal response spectrum analysis. The spectra required for this can be created in compliance with the standards or can be user-defined. The equivalent static forces are generated from this. The add-on includes an extensive library of accelerograms from seismic zones. These can be used to generate response spectra.
