Unrealistic Reinforcement Display in RF-CONCRETE Surfaces

I have problems with the graphical display of a required reinforcement in the RF‑CONCRETE Surfaces add-on module. The reinforcement is unrealistic and displayed with higher values in certain areas. The distribution does not match the moment distribution. What can I do in this case?

Answer:

Please check the settings in the "Longitudinal Reinforcement" tab in Window 1.4. If the option "Apply the greatest value from the required and provided longitudinal reinforcement (basic and additional reinforcement) per reinforcement direction" is set for the longitudinal reinforcement and a provided basic reinforcement is also defined, this can lead to a locally increased required reinforcement in the results.

The reason for this can be explained as follows: If shear reinforcement can be avoided by using the basic reinforcement, then the basic reinforcement is set as "required", as the results of the shear force design are only obtained if the basic reinforcement is actually designed.
