Markus Baumgärtel Modeling | Structure RFEM

How can I model two surfaces lying on top of each other?

The easiest way is to create a contact volume between both surfaces. With the help of the contact volume, the contact properties of both surfaces lying on each other can be precisely defined. How to quickly create a contact volume is explained in the FAQ with the topic " How can I quickly create a contact volume between two contact surfaces in RFEM? ".

If the contact conditions play a minor role and both surfaces have the same material properties, it would also be possible to simply increase the surface thickness at the corresponding point of the surface.
