Bastian Ackermann Modeling | Loading RFEM

I have defined a line load on a member (that is the line of the member). A message appears that the line is loaded, but does not belong to a surface.

Answer

Generally, line loads are only suitable for lines that belong to a surface. This means that the line either represents the boundary line of the surface or must be integrated into the surface. In the case of loading a line that is assigned to both a member and a surface, this is possible without any problems.

If there is no surface available and the member is to be loaded with a uniform load, it is necessary to use the load type of Member load.
