How can I check in my FE model, whether the loads applied by me are also introduced correctly in the model?

Answer

By selecting the check boxes under the "Distribution of load" navigator entry, you can display the forces and moments received by the FE Nodes or FE Elements from the entered loads.

The forces of the FE elements can be displayed in the global XYZ axis system or in the local xyz surface axes. The mesh loads allow you to check the entered loads. For free concentrated loads, for example, you can check if the load acts on all surfaces specified in the list on surfaces.

For line loads and free loads, the FE mesh size of the model may play an important role. For example, if you put a geometrically small free rectangle load to a surface with a coarse FE mesh, the load is distributed over a much larger surface (see Figure 01).
