Design of Shear Force Between Member Web and Flange

With the latest version of CONCRETE and RF‑CONCRETE Members, it is possible to perform shear design for the connection of compression and tension flanges on a T‑beam web, for example.

For this, you need to select the ‘Design of flange connections on segmented cross‑sections’ check box in the ‘Details’ dialog box. In addition, you can select the method by which the longitudinal force difference is determined. There are two methods available: the simplified method using inner lever arm z = 0.9*d without consideration of Mz, and the general integration of stresses in single cross‑section parts with consideration of Mz.

The resulting reinforcement as well as the intermediate results are available under results after the calculation.
