To account for nonlinearities in the time history analysis, the nonlinear implicit Newmark solver is available in RFEM (RSTAB: explicit solver for the second-order and the third-order analysis).
Nonlinear member types (tension and compression members, as well as cables) and member nonlinearities (failure, yielding, etc.) can be analyzed, among others. In addition, support nonlinearities (failure, friction, etc.) or hinge nonlinearities are considered in RFEM and RSTAB.
