Preventing Date Stamping of File
Tips & Tricks
Today, project data isn't stored in large shelves anymore but on save servers. Each file gets a date stamp, which shows when the file was created, modified, and opened.
To save the current state of a graphic when closing a file, select the “Options” menu. Next, select the “Program Options” dialog box, and then go to the “Graphics” tab, where you can select the check box “Automatically save window settings when a model is closed.” This has the advantage that when you open the file the next time, it will show the same graphic view. Thus, the data of modification is automatically updated every time you close the model. If you, however, only wish to check old project data and want to avoid a new date, just clear the selection of this dialog box.
