Using Formula Editor with Reference to Line Grid Input

In the Formula Editor environment, you can specify any parameters (lengths, force values, and so on) to control load and geometry data in the modeling.

In addition to these manual specifications, the parameters can be referenced to the properties of a line grid. This technique allows access to the line spacing organized in tables. The relevant function is the following:

$ linegrid (no., direction, row, column)

No. ... Number of the line grid definition
Direction ... Line grid direction from which the distances are to be taken
Line ... Table row
Column ... Table column

Thus, the grid spacings for the parametrization can be easily accessed for line grid-dependent structures, and further dependencies can be created with other entries.

  • Load determination depending on a variable building height (imperfection)
  • Load distribution over a variable building area (snow accumulation)
