Options for Load Cases and Combinations
When selecting DIN 18008 as the design standard, you also need to select DIN 18008 for the load case classification and combination wizard.
These settings activate additional options in the Load Cases & Combinations tab.
Load Cases
For load cases, there is the option to define a load duration for the respective action category. The program automatically tries to set this according to the specifications of the standard.
For load combinations, the load duration is set based on the load cases in the combination.
If the automatic combination wizard is not used, these settings can be user-defined.
Design Situations
You can activate any design situation for the glass design by selecting it.
In the Design Situations tab, it is also possible to activate the reverse setting for the shear coupling in laminated glass.
This allows for simultaneous analysis of structural systems for the cases “without” and “with shear coupling”.
This setting then uses the inverse stiffness matrix, as defined in the glass composition model, for the calculation of the structural system.
