Probably the tallest timber lookout tower in the world was opened in Klagenfurt in 2013. The 100-meter-high tower provides an impressive view of the Alpe Adria region and the Carinthian lakes from its platforms. A special feature is the highest roofing slide in Europe inside the tower, which allows for speeds of up to 25 km/h. The structural analysis was carried out with RSTAB by LACKNER + RAML Ziviltechniker – GmbH. Visualization and mode shape calculation were carried out in RSTAB and DYNAM (© LACKNER + RAML).
