The transition to more sustainable energy sources is a global priority today. In this sense, the construction of a multi-energy station in Les Sables-d'Olonne, in the Vendée department (85), is an innovative and promising project. This station, consisting of three canopies with a height of 7.5 m (24.5 ft) and a total length of 40 m (131 ft), represents a significant investment to promote low-carbon mobility and local green energy. GH Hervouet, a customer of Dlubal Software, was responsible for the entire project, including carpentry, roofing and cladding.
For twenty years, the Circus Festival in Latina has been thrilling audiences with the world’s most talented artists. The International Circus Festival of Italy, founded by Giulio Montico and operated by the Montico family, has been recognized globally since the first performance. The circus tent built in Latina has made it possible to appreciate the quality of the many artists performing there.
VisLab, a start-up at the University of Parma, is a global leader in autonomous driving system development for various vehicle types. The American company Ambarella became aware of VisLab’s mission in a rapidly developing area characterized by strong competition, and decided to strategically acquire the company. As a result, a new location for headquarters to accommodate this research was required. Ambarella preferred the research center to remain on the University of Parma campus in Italy.
In late 2018, Naikoon Contracting Ltd. announced the location of their new global headquarters in Vancouver, BC, with a grand opening in spring 2019. The new office is centered around a stunning cross-laminated timber (CLT) staircase which utilizes a profound gluing technology developed by Timber Structures 3.0 (TS3). This marks the first time TS3 has been used in North America.
