The objective of the thesis was to present the solutions used for stadium roofing and to show how the consideration of construction stages affects the internal forces in the structural elements.
This analysis was carried out on the example of a selected football stadium project. The geometry of the building was determined on the basis of the architectural concept. The object is circularly symmetrical; the external diameter is 390 m. The intermediate posts are arranged in a circle with a diameter of 310 m at an angular spacing of 4 degrees, while the outer posts are arranged in a circle with a diameter of 370 m, also at an angular spacing of 4 degrees. The intermediate ring is supported on the intermediate posts, while the outer ring is supported on the external posts.
As part of the work, loads were compared and the necessary elements were selected from catalogues of various companies. Then, structural and strength calculations were performed for the steel purlin, edge beam, column with supports, and the foundation footing and its connection to the column. Finally, architectural and structural drawings of the building were made, as well as construction drawings of the edge beam, column with brackets, and foundation footing.
