In the case of frequently occurring or oscillating loads, the material resistance is reduced. This is also known as material fatigue.
The fatigue or service life calculation is regulated in various standards according to the nominal stress concept.
The objective is to present further concepts that have been developed over the years and to apply and evaluate them using the example of the Norderelbe bridge in Germany.
