The present thesis deals with the structural analysis of historic timber structures using an example of the riding hall of the Wilhelmshöhe Palace in Kassel, Germany.

An objective of this thesis is to document and analyze the structure in terms of its load-bearing capacity. For the calculation, the determination of the flexibility of connections is crucial. This allows for a realistic design of the load transfer between the components.

The thesis analyzes and documents the methodology and the force application for the connections occurring in the Wilhelmshöhe riding arena.
