Question

In RF‑/STEEL EC3, I activated gamma_M1 for the calculation of cross-section resistance, as I want to cover the stability analyses with the second-order analysis and imperfections. However, the cross-section analysis for my design is performed with 1.0 in Germany. Why?

Answer:

You have probably not selected the correct National Annex in General Data of the add-on module. For example, if "CEN" is used, the recommendations of this standard are used and gamma_M1 is set to 1.0.

Please select the correct National Annex (see the image).
