Ulrich Lex General RFEM RF-GLASS

In RF-GLASS, it is not possible to design a curved pane. Why?

Answer

When modeling a glass pane, in particular, an insulating glass pane, special attention must be paid in RFEM that the boundary lines consist of only four lines.
A division of the lines should be, if possible, avoided because then the calculation can no longer be performed. A corresponding warning message will be displayed before the calculation.
If special intermediate nodes are required on the line, make sure that they do not divide the original line during the creation.
If the line gets nevertheless divided, the structure can be restored by using the 'Delete Node and Connect Adjacent Members' command.
In exceptional cases, the use of the layered mesh can be deactivated in the composition details. This option has been specifically implemented for double-curved panes.
