Determination of Cp Coefficient of Surface Result in RWIND Simulation

How is the Cp coefficient of the surface result determined in RWIND Simulation?

Answer:

The Cp coefficient surface result normalizes the determined wind pressure with the dynamic pressure q(H) of the undisturbed inflow at the top edge of the model.

The Cp coefficients or wind pressure coefficients are determined individually at each location of the surface. The positive values correspond to a compressive load and the negative values correspond to a suction load away from the surface.

The wind pressure from the undisturbed inflow is determined by means of the wind profile at the wind tunnel inlet at the height H. Height H is determined automatically, using the highest available model edge.
