The cross-section class can be displayed as a graphical result.
This feature is available for all design standards in the Steel Design and Aluminum Design add-ons.
Cross-section classification is performed at x-points within the steel or aluminum design and can therefore vary along the member length. Furthermore, the cross-section class depends on the internal forces acting on the member.
Using various display options, you can achieve a user-defined result display for the cross-section classes:
- Select from different display types (“Two-Colored,” “With Diagram,” “Without Diagram,” “Section Colored”)
- Display the cross-section classes either as an envelope for all load combinations or individually for a selected load combination
- Show the cross-section classes for members, member representatives, or member set representatives
The graphical display of the cross-section classes allows you to clearly view them at a glance in the 3D model. This eliminates the need to open the design check details for individual design locations to determine which cross-section class applies.
