Wind Simulation & Wind Load Generation
With the stand-alone program RWIND Simulation, wind flows around simple or complex structures can be simulated by means of a digital wind tunnel.
The generated wind loads acting on these objects can be imported to RFEM or RSTAB.
With the view option Camera Fly Mode, you can fly through your RFEM and RSTAB structure. Control the direction and speed of the flight with your keyboard. Additionally, you can save the flight through your structure as a video.
With the activated option "Topology on form-finding shape" in the Project Navigator - Display, the model display is optimized based on the form-finding geometry. For example, the loads are displayed in relation to the deformed system.
It is possible to assign different colors to various objects of a structure in order to make the rendering display of the structure more clearly arranged.
The following categories are available: Materials, Cross‑Sections, Member Types, Member Hinges, Surface Types - Geometry, Surface Types - Stiffness, Surface Thickness, Solid Types, Surface Sides, and User‑Defined Visibilities and Effective Length Factors.
Program configuration menus and toolbars can be freely customized. It's possible to setup an arrangement of frequently used functions and tools for quick access. Default settings of the program can be restored at the click of a button. Tables, navigators, and toolbars can also be freely moved and docked.
The Configuration Manager provides the opportunity to define custom graphic display properties and toolbars, which can be saved and accessed later.
The photorealistic visualization of a model in 3D rendering provides a direct check of the input data. Display colors can be freely adjusted and saved separately for the screen and printout.
Various buttons allow you to directly change the perspective and work plane. By zooming, rotating and shifting the structure you can quickly adjust the appropriate view. Partial views represent specific structural parts clearly. Inactive objects can be displayed transparently in the background. By selecting structural elements according to special criteria, it is possible to group objects in a simple way.
