I would like to convert an area load to a line load, and apply it to single beams. How can I do this without using a help plane?

In RFEM and RSTAB, it is possible to automatically convert area loads to member or line loads. There are three options available for this:

  • Member loads from area loads via plane
  • Member loads from area loads via cells
  • Line loads from area loads on openings
In the case of converting member loads from area loads, it is necessary to define a plane by using corner nodes, or select the corresponding cells in the graphic window. The area load can be applied to the entire surface or, as the case may be, to the effective area of the members or to its projection.
