Construction of Bus Depot

The subject of the thesis is a virtual reconstruction of an omnibus depot. It should be used for the under-cover parking of several low-floor busses.

The entire load-bearing structure is made of steel. The principal supporting elements are arc-like frames consisting of steel girders produced by the company Arcelor, spanning a span length of 20 m and a width of 4 fields. The horizontal frame beams have a camber of 1.5 m and are connected by flexurally rigid joints. Furthermore, the beams are running in the transversal direction of the hall with a spacing of 9.2 m so that a bus passage in the longitudinal direction of the hall is ensured about the entire hall length.
