Calculation RFEM RSTAB 5.xx 8.xx

I have performed a comparative calculation of a single-nave frame with rigid support nodes. Restraining end moments of frame posts on the supports are significantly smaller than in the structural analysis of the release lever or in the manual calculation using frame equations. Is there an explanation for this?

Answer

The reason for this deviation of moments and other internal forces and deformations is the consideration of shear stiffness of members. This option is selected in RFEM and RSTAB by default. However, you can unselect it in the Calculation Parameters dialog box.
