Meaning of Design Situation Abbreviations in Combination Expressions

What is the meaning of the abbreviations of design situations in the "Combination Expressions" tab?

Answer:
  • ULS: Ultimate Limit State
  • SLS: Serviceability Limit State
  • EQU: Check of Equilibrium Limit State; a loss of static equilibrium of the structural system or one of its parts; for example, due to buckling, buoyancy, or lifting
  • STR: Failure of the structure or its individual parts due to exceeding material strength, deformations that are too large, reaching kinematic state, or unstable position
  • GEO: Deformations that are too large or failures of foundation soil
