Silent Installation RWIND

I'm looking for a way to install RWIND using software deployment.

Answer:

Our installation programs are created as what is known as a “bootstrapper package,” which includes all components required for RWIND. It is necessary to manually extract files beforehand when distributing the package via distribution software.

Example

The RWIND installation file is installed via the Command Prompt (run as administrator). This should be done without a graphical user interface. To do this, execute the following command:

RWIND.exe /install /quiet /norestart

Parameters and Variables

The following parameters can be used:

/install Install. Default action if none is specified.
/uninstall Uninstall the product.
/repair Repair an existing installation.
/layout [dir] Extract user data to a folder (offline copy). No installation takes place.
/quiet = /q = /silent = /s Run in the background; no user interface (“None” display mode).
/passive No user interaction; progress bar only (“Passive” display mode).
/norestart Never restart automatically.
/forcerestart Restart if required for the installation.
/log <file> = /l <file> Write the bundle report to the specified file.

The following variables can be used during installation:

InstallDir=“…” alias INSTALLFOLDER Destination folder for the installation.
ExamplesDir=“…” alias EXAMPLESFOLDER Folder for the included examples.
SetupLanguage=xx Setup / User interface language. Values: cs, de, en, es, fr, it, nl, pl, ru, zh, pt

Further Examples

Silent installation to a user-defined folder, Czech user interface, with a log file:

RWIND.exe /install /quiet /norestart InstallDir="C:\Dlubal\RWIND" SetupLanguage=cs /log "C:\Temp\rwind_install.log"

Unattended installation with progress bar:

RWIND.exe /install /passive /norestart

Silent uninstallation:

RWIND.exe /uninstall /quiet /norestart

Uninstallation with progress bar and a log file:

RWIND.exe /uninstall /passive /log "C:\Temp\rwind_uninstall.log"
