Setting Concrete Cover According to EN 1992-1-1

In RF-/FOUNDATION Pro, you can also consider the concrete cover for the foundation according to EN 1992-1-1.

To do this, select the "Minimum cover according to standard" check box in Window 1.3 Materials. In the "Concrete cover according to standard EN 1992-1-1" dialog box, you can set all the relevant settings for determining the minimum concrete cover (exposure classes, and so on). The minimum concrete cover of the reinforcement changes depending on the selected settings. You can see the value at the end of the dialog box.

The settings in the "Cbottom" tab must always be specified. In the tabs "Ctop" and "Cside/Cbucket", the specifications can be imported from another tab or specifically adjusted. The parameters available in this dialog box for determining the concrete cover depend on the National Annex selected in Window 1.1 General Data. Thus, if you choose DIN EN 1992‑1‑1, the parameter "Design Working Life According to 4.4.1.2(5) Table 4.3N" (for example) is not shown.

The concrete cover shown in Window 1.3 Materials can also be adjusted subsequently. However, if the minimum concrete cover is activated, you can increase the concrete cover only manually.
