EN 1993 does not give any clear recommendations for scheduled torsion. The two check boxes allow you to completely Ignore the torsional stresses or neglect them up to a user-defined limit. 5% is preset as the maximum ratio of the existing torsional stress τt,Ed to the torsional shear resistance τt,Rd. If the value is exceeded during the design, a corresponding error message appears.
