A modern 6-seater chairlift called sixpack Mooslehen opened in Filzmoos, Austria on December 17, 2021, right on time for the start of the ski season. The construction time for the entire project was only six months. The company m3-ZT, an Austrian customer of Dlubal, was responsible for the structural analysis, using the FEA program RFEM.

Model Parameters

Model

The new valley station was built at 3,468 ft, the new mountain station at 4,452 ft. The aerial lift climbs exactly 300 m (984 ft) and its 43 chairlifts take up to 2,000 people per hour to the top of the mountain.

Construction of the Valley Station

The station's main supporting structure consists almost entirely of grade S 235 steel. S 355 steel was used only for the bracings and some slender columns. A total of about 87 tons of steel were used. The station's main dimensions are L x W x H = 141 x 92 x 33 ft. The facade, which includes large glass surfaces, was clad with timber. The maximum snow load was set at 1,080 lb per 10.8 square feet.

The new elevated passenger ropeway meets modern standards and takes skiers up the mountain quickly and comfortably.
