The "Little Flower" monastery was built in 2015, situated in beautiful scenery of green meadows, mountains, and crystal-clear lakes. The little monastery is equipped with 18 bedrooms, a chapel, a dining room, a kitchen, and a conference room.
A second mixing plant for ground building materials was built in 2015 on the site of Baumit GmbH in Landsberg/Lech. The total weight of the supporting steel construction amounts to about 661 tons.
On an area of 15,069.5 ft2, a steel maze was installed at the C‑Mine arts center in Genk (Belgium). The maze was created to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the arts center, which is located at the former coal mine of Winterslag.
It took almost one month to install this temporary construction, which closed its doors at the end of September 2015.
A new multi‑purpose hall in the historic city center of Calais, France was inaugurated in mid-June 2015.
The hall, made of steel, timber, and aluminum, has a modular structure. Therefore, it can be used for many occasions (weekly markets, fairs, concerts, spectacles, and much more).
The clear style and the windows on the north and south sides allow a great deal of daylight, which is reflected by the internal wood cladding. On the west side, a folding door can be opened. It can then be used as a 69-foot-wide outdoor stage.
In September 2015, Panarbora nature discovery park opened near Cologne. A highlight of the park is the 131-foot-high, 12‑sided lookout tower made of glued‑laminated timber, which offers visitors a breathtaking view over Bergisches Land.
In May 2015, the "Solhjul" art project (in English: sun wheel) by artist Bo Karberg officially opened. The 39.3-foot‑high wheel is located in the center island of a traffic circle in Give, Denmark. It is now the new symbol of the town.
With the dome of Louvre Abu Dhabi, a museum planned for the capital of the United Arab Emirates, a new architectural highlight will be completed by 2015. The structure, consisting of steel, has a diameter of 180 m (590.5 ft) and covers the new local branch of the Louvre Museum in Paris.
