Structure and Model

The project involves a new terrace apartment building in Prague 14 – Kyje with a load-bearing structure measuring 28.6 × 12.55 m. The combined system of monolithic walls, columns, and beams is designed using C30/37 concrete with B500B reinforcement. In RFEM 6, the 200-mm-thick ceiling slab above the 2nd floor was modeled as a 2D element with unidirectional tension, and the model accurately captures the spatial interaction with vertical load-bearing elements, penetrations, and stairwell openings.

Loads and Analysis Results

The loads were determined according to Eurocodes and include permanent and variable loads, equivalent area loads from partition walls, and line loads from the building envelope. The analysis results are used to design the reinforcement at the ultimate limit state (ULS) and to verify deflections at the serviceability limit state (SLS), taking into account creep and cracks.
