Structure and Model
The project involves a new terrace apartment building in Prague 14 – Kyje with a load-bearing structure of 28.6 × 12.55 m. The combined system of monolithic walls, columns, and downstand beams is designed from concrete C30/37 with reinforcement B500B. In RFEM 6, the floor slab above the 2nd floor with a thickness of 200 mm was modeled as a 2D element with one-way spanning, where the model accurately captures the spatial interaction with vertical load-bearing elements, openings, and staircases.
Loading and Analysis Results
The loading was determined according to Eurocodes and includes permanent and variable loads, equivalent area loads from partitions, and line loads from the building envelope. The analysis results are used for dimensioning the reinforcement in the ultimate limit state (ULS) and for verifying deflections in the serviceability limit state (SLS), considering creep and cracks.
