If the client does not find the server in the network automatically (for example, because of various subnets or in the case of access using the VPN connection), you have to enter the server IP on the client manually.
For this configuration, you can use the Admin Control Center (ACC), which is accessible on the client using the following link: http://localhost:1947. Enter the server IP under the Configuration option in the "Access to Remote License Managers" tab (see image) and confirm it by clicking [Submit].
The import of Author.ini is still carried out on the client and, in addition to the successful installation of the program, is a basic requirement for the licensing; the procedure is the same as for the local use of the network license. This means that Author.ini can be imported both at the first start and subsequently via Help → Authorization → Load Authorization File.
