Markus Baumgärtel Add-on Modules RF-STEEL EC3 STEEL EC3

# How does the torsional stiffness (profile deformation) influence the rotary bedding? I find them nowhere in the program.

The profile deformations can be activated or deactivated in the parameters of the bars / sets of bars (see figure 1). The profile deformation according to EN 1993-1-1 is included in the calculation as follows:

$\ frac {\ displaystyle1} {\ displaystyle {\ mathrm C} _ {\ vartheta, \ mathrm k}} = \; \ frac {\ displaystyle1} {\ displaystyle {\ mathrm C} _ {\ mathrm {θR}, \ mathrm k}} \; + \; \ frac {\ displaystyle1} {\ displaystyle {\ mathrm C} _ {\ mathrm {θC}, \ mathrm k}} \; + \; \ frac {\ displaystyle1} {\ displaystyle {\ mathrm C} _ {\ mathrm {θD}, \ mathrm k}}$

You can read the value in the result tables after the calculation has been made (see Figure 2).

The calculation of the value can be found in the relevant literature or in the manual for the additional module BGDK .
