Display of Free Loads in Certain Area

How can I display the free loads within a certain area only?

Answer:

Unlike with structural elements, loads cannot generally be marked and hidden using a selection. In the Display navigator, only loads of the same type (such as nodal loads, member loads, free polygon loads …) can be activated or deactivated for the display.

Loads are always object-related. If a part of the structure is hidden, the corresponding loads are also hidden.

One special feature is free loads. If they are not explicitly assigned to specific surfaces, they are always displayed, even if the loaded surfaces are hidden. Therefore, we recommend only assigning the free loads to the corresponding surfaces.

The quickest way to do this is to use Tables 3.6 – 3.11.

Note: For 2D model types, it is not possible to assign the free loads to special surfaces; thus, they are always displayed for the entire structure.
