The SOFTLOCK (SL) has to be activated once on a PC. Please use the attached instructions.
By activating the SL, it is connected to the PC by mainboard ID and hard disk ID.
If an SL is activated on a PC, no formatting of the hard disk or a reinstallation of the operating system must be carried out. No change of mainboard or hard disk is allowed either.
If you have to change anything on this PC, transfer the SL to another PC in advance. Please also have a look at the instructions from page 2 onwards.

You have to activate the NET-SOFTLOCK (Net-SL) once on a PC, server or a virtual server. Please use the attached instructions (Installation-NET-Softlock).
By activating the NET-SL, it is connected to the PC by mainboard ID and hard disk ID. For virtual machines, the SL is connected by using the CPU characteristic and the virtual MAC address.
If a NET-SL is activated on a PC, no formatting of the hard disk or reinstalling of the operating system should be carried out. No change of mainboard or hard disk is allowed either.
If a NET-SL is installed on a virtual machine, please make sure that the virtual MAC address is static and that the CPU characteristic cannot be changed. Virtual machines must not be copied (cloned) or moved.
If you have to change anything on this PC or the virtual machine, transfer the NET-SL to another PC or virtual machine in advance by using the attached instructions (REHOSTING-EN).

You can open this function by using the DataNavigator iin the shortcut menu of the line releases (see picture) or the menu Insert → Model Data → 1.26 Line Releases.
The procedure is as follows:
- Select the function New Graphically...
- Select/define the release
- Select released elements
- Press enter to confirm the selection of elements
- Press enter to close the dialog box
- Select line (line release will be created)
- Press enter to open the dialog box again

How can I enter concrete covers of individual reinforcement layouts independently when designing reinforced concrete surfaces?

It is only possible to enter concrete covers of individual reinforcement layouts independently if no serviceability limit state design is performed.
As soon as you have selected a load for the serviceability limit state design in Table 1.1 in RF-CONCRETE Surfaces, the reinforcement layouts will be coupled together.

It is not possible to adapt the font size directly in the panel.
However, you can adapt width and heigth of the panel in the image properties (right-click the image > Properties). If you make the display of the panel bigger, the font size will be adapted.
Calculating a result combination in STEEL EC3 or Aluminium takes a very long time. What might be the cause and how can I improve the performance?

Cross-sections of the type "General" might cause this long-lasting analysis in STEEL EC3 and Aluminium.
You find them in Table 1.3 Cross-Sections. For these cross-sections, it is necessary to calculate the stresses for the cross-section classification with SHAPE-THIN in the background. The result combination (RC) for the design may contain many load combinations (CO). This could lead to the fact that the SHAPE-THIN analysis will be performed very often and might take a very long time. However, there is a workaround. With the option displayed in the second figure, the enveloping internal forces of the RC are used, and each CO included in the RC cannot be calculated. This may be more conservative, however, it is faster because not every CO requires a SHAPE-THIN analysis, only the envelope.
When starting the program, I get warning No. 10312 - Program authorization failed. How can I start the program with the correct authorization?

In this case, you are using a program version which is not covered by the authorization file (AUTHOR.INI) used by you.
Example: You received an authorization file in 2015 which expires on 31.12.2015. If you are now installing a program version from 2016, you will receive a warning after having imported the authorization file.
In this case, you need a current authorization file which you can download from the Dlubal Extranet. This requires, of course, a valid service contract. If you don't have any access data, please contact your system administrator or our customer support at firstname.lastname@example.org.

When starting the program, I get warning No. 50 - Program authorisation failed. What could be the reason?

If you are using a single-user licence (students, for example), make sure that you don't try to get access to this licence via remote access. Moreover, a single-user licence cannot be used on virtual machines. Both cases cannot be covered by a single-user licence.
If you see this message when trying to access a network dongle, it may be due to the server's response time. Copy hasp_48521.ini to folder C:\Users\#USER#\AppData\Local\SafeNet Sentinel\Sentinel LDK\ (please replace #USERS# with your own user name). Then open hasp_48521.ini and enter the IP address of the dongle server as well as the access times.
If you access the dongle server via VPN connection, please make sure that the IP adress of the dongle server is stored in the Admin Control Center (see FAQ 002070).

When activating my license, I get the following error message: Error No. 2591 - Licence activation failed. How can I activate the licence now?

It looks like there is a communication problem between your computer and our server. Either try the activation in a place which doesn't use the same internet connection or we can activate the licence manually. For the latter please follow these instructions.
If I change the program language or the language of the printout report to Russian or Chinese, some texts in the interface of the main program, or some paragraphs in the printout report, are not displayed correctly. What might be the reason?

Since a different font is required for Russian and Chinese, it is not sufficient for Windows to only change the language in RFEM/RSTAB. In this case, it is necessary to also change the region in Windows. You can easily change it by entering "Region" at the Windows start button (see Figure 1). Set the preferred language in the three tabs (formats, location and administration).
