It is possible to consider effects from structural and material nonlinearities in RF-STABILITY. Set the calculation method “Increase load until structural failure” in the module.
These nonlinear effects are not considered for linear calculation.
How can I change font size and font type of the graphical design ratios of the module results in RSTAB and RFEM?

The display of the graphical design ratio of the module results in RSTAB and RFEM is the same as for positive internal forces. You can change them in display properties (Options -> Display Properties -> Edit). In the category Results -> Members -> Internal Forces, you can set the preferred options.
I was just about to perform the punching shear design in RF-PUNCH Pro and assign shear rails of HALFEN for the design, but when I click on the button [HDB...], only a warning appears. What am I doing wrong?

Check if the design software Punching Shear Reinforcement HDB from HALFEN has been successfully installed and also registered. The best way to test it is to start the design software HDB without using RF-PUNCH Pro, either from the Windows start menu or from the desktop shortcut.
If starting the program has been successful, you can use the interface of RF-PUNCH Pro to HDB for further processing.
I placed two solids on top of each other. There are nodes/lines/surfaces which are used by both solids. Is there a possibility to generate a failure?

If the contact between two overlaying plates or solids is simulated, you have to model a contact solid between the two plates / solids usually with a thickness from central axis to central axis of both contact surfaces. The material of the contact solid should be the same as for the surfaces in order to be connected. If the surfaces have different materials, we recommend using the material with inferior properties for the contact solid. I have installed SHAPE-THIN 8. Now I am getting the warning 10312 “Program authorization failed”, and the program is only available as a demo version.

You only have a licence for the program SHAPE-THIN 7.5x. Your service contract includes all updates within this program version.
However, SHAPE-THIN 8.x is a fee-based upgrade. It is a technical error that is causing this program to be displayed in your Extranet. You should only see programs for which you have a licence. I have already arranged a correction concerning this issue.
The Task Manager shows a usage of only 50% when calculating an RFEM file. Why does the calculation not use all kernels?

The calculation does use all kernels. Some processors (Intel Core i7, XEON...), however, support Hyper-Threading. This means that each physically available procesor core is split up into two virtual cores for applications. This aims at a better usage of the single units of the core. There are some applications which benefit from this and run faster. However, this is not the case for the computation kernel of RFEM. Therefore, the computation kernel of RFEM often only uses the physically available cores, and the Task Manager displays that the processor seems to only have a usage of 50%.
How can I design a slab with downstand beams in RF-CONCRETE NL? I would like to know the deformations in state II; however, this does not seem to work with the entered rib members. Is there an alternative for entering this?

It is right that the rib members defined in the structure are not considered when calculating realistic deformations in state II. However, you can solve this issue by displaying the downstand beams not as rib member but by replacing them as surface model. Thus, the complete slab can be displayed as plate structure and designed with RF-CONCRETE NL in RF-CONCRETE Surfaces.
After the export to Excel, I receive the error message “Microsoft Excel is not installed on this computer” and the export function is greyed out. What might be the reason for this?

In this case, the COM interface of Excel is not registered correctly. Reasons for this may be the following:- “Registry cleaners” (for example CCleaner...) destroyed the registration
- The anti-virus software blocks the export
- Missing user rights
To re-register the COM server of Excel, start the DLInstaller.exe by right-clicking the function --> “Run as administrator”. Then switch to the tab “Diagnostics” and start the process (see image 2).
Start RFEM/RSTAB to test the export/import again.

If you have selected neither the direct calculation of the bearing capacity according to EN 1997-1 Annex D nor the analysis of safety against sliding, you don't have to enter a soil profile. You can enter the earth covering as load afterwards.

Nonlinear materials are not allowed for contact solids. It is not possible to make a general statement regarding which material should be used. A contact solid can represent a rubber body or a steel plate. We recommend to select an isotropic material here which corresponds or is similar to the real material in its properties.
