Different Cross-Sections in Main Program and in Add-on Module

The add-on module shows that there is a different cross-section than in the main program. How should I proceed?

Answer:

If a different cross-section is used in the add-on module than in RFEM 5 or RSTAB 8, it is displayed in blue. This should also indicate that the internal forces are determined with the cross-section defined in RFEM 5 or RSTAB 8 (in Image 01: IPE 300), but the design in the add‑on module is performed with the cross‑section assigned there (in Image 01: IPE 80). Different cross-sections are available if the cross-section in the add‑on module has been modified manually or optimized by the program.

Solution

You can either import the cross-section from RFEM 5 or RSTAB 8 again (menu "Edit → Import Cross-Section from RFEM/RSTAB") or export the cross-section from the add‑on module to the main program (menu "Edit → Export Cross-Section to RFEM/RSTAB"; see Image 02). Then, the cross-sections are identical again and are displayed in black font.
