Adding and Deactivating Objects

You can control the adding and deactivating of structural objects in the individual tab categories: If you activate a check box in the “Main” tab in the Change Compared to Previous Construction Stage section, you can specify which objects are to be added or deactivated in the corresponding additional tab.

In the Change status of “objects” section, you specify which structural objects (members, surfaces, solids, support, and so on) are to be added or removed in the selected construction stage.

Adding

Enter the numbers of the objects that become effective in the current construction stage. Use the Select Objects in Graphics button to select the objects graphically in the work window. The Clear Assigned Objects button clears the selection. If you select the “All” check box, all structure objects in the category are activated.

Tip

The “All” function provides the option of selecting all support locations for the first construction stage, for example.

Info

New elements are always deformed, that is, added without tension.

Deactivating

You can deactivate any object that you added in a previous construction stage in a later construction stage. This object is then no longer effective. This allows you to record the effects of a temporary support during the construction process, for example.

Enter the numbers of the objects that are no longer effective in the current construction stage. Here, you can also use the Select Objects in Graphics button to select the objects graphically.

Active

This text box shows a summary of the numbers of all objects that are active in the current construction stage.
