Buckling of Elastically Restrained Glass Columns

The thesis presents buckling analyses, performed – both in the laboratory and theoretically – on the columns supported on both sides, which lie in the Euler spectrum II through IV.

The focus of the analysis is placed on the elastic restraint degrees with regard to their compatibility with the glass material and the interaction between a member and a restraint element.

Furthermore, it clarifies where the critical stress points of the members are located. Is it the center of the member, as usually, or is it the restraint points with the existing curvature values from the springs?
