Question

What defines the dimensions "Length of Reinforcement" and "Width of Reinforcement" of the longitudinal reinforcement in RF‑PUNCH Pro? Is the anchorage length included?

Answer:
RF‑PUNCH Pro defines the required length of the longitudinal reinforcement or the width of the reinforcement as follows.

For the length of the longitudinal reinforcement:
  • Case 1 - No punching shear reinforcement required:
Length of longitudinal reinforcement = 2*lw,crit + column width
  • Case 2 - Punching shear reinforcement required:
Length of longitudinal reinforcement = 2*lw,out + column width
For the width of the longitudinal reinforcement, the following applies:
  • Case 1 - No punching shear reinforcement required:
Width of reinforcement = 6*d + column width
  • Case 2 - Punching shear reinforcement required:
Width of reinforcement = maximum value from [(6*d + column width) OR (2*lw,out + column width)]
The add-on module does not calculate the anchorage length of the longitudinal reinforcement, and you have to take it into account additionally.
