Technical Article

In RFEM 5 as well as RSTAB 8 in RF-/FOUNDATION Pro, you can save the foundation dimensions for all five foundation types as foundation templates in a user-defined database and use them later in other models.

The database of foundation templates is located in the lower part of window 1.2 Geometry. Click the [Save foundation to user database] button to save the dimensions of the previously calculated foundation in the database. You can freely specify the description of the foundation template.

Click the [User Foundation Database] button to open the corresponding dialog box, where you can manage the existing foundation templates. In this dialog box, you can either display all foundation templates for all foundation types, or filter them according to a specific foundation type. You can select any template from the "Foundation Template" table. The foundation dimensions of the template are displayed in the corresponding table or in the information graphic.

Click [OK] to transfer the dimensions of the foundation template to window 1.2 Geometry for further calculation.
