In the RF-/FOUNDATION Pro add-on module, you can select the automatic dimensioning of the foundation plate geometry. In the dialog box for the design parameters of the foundation plate, you can, for example, specify the increment for the increase of the base area and the foundation plate thickness. You can also automatically increase the covering for a stabilizing effect of the geotechnical designs.
In the course of a reasonable pre-dimensioning of cross-sections, you can optimize the cross-sections of the corresponding section series in the RF‑/TIMBER Pro add-on module.
To determine the distance between two nodes or the angle between two objects without using the dimensioning function, you can simply use the "Measure" option on the "Tools" menu. Here, you can also choose between various measure functions.

The RF-CONCRETE Members and CONCRETE add-on modules provide the option for "Dimensioning of Longitudinal Reinforcement for Serviceability Limit State". You can select the design criteria for the calculation of the longitudinal reinforcement.
When performing structural calculations, the derivation of forces from the roof to the foundations is one of the central tasks of the calculation, in addition to the dimensioning of the cross-sections.
For structural dimensioning according to the valid rules, there are often several options or calculation methods to determine the internal forces. It is up to the engineer to decide which theory is suitable for designing the structure.
In RFEM and RSTAB, you can now define the guidelines of dimensions with a fixed length. This new option allows you to define dimensions without having the structure covered by the guidelines. This way, dimensioning is clearer. You can activate this option under "Display Properties" → "General" → "Dimensions".
In order to set a dimension in RFEM, a physical node must exist at the locations to be dimensioned. Therefore, dimensioning free surface loads or graphical results was impossible without further effort until now.
