It was probably the largest bankrupt construction in Munich and an exclusive club where you could dance with sharks. Sounds crazy? That's just it! In the 1970s, the Schwabylon was a huge leisure and shopping center, right next to the associated Yellow Submarine Club. What was planned as a utopian dream, became an economic nightmare. After just a few years, it was over: too big, too flashy, too expensive. Unfortunately, both institutions no longer exist today. We take you on a journey through the history of the famous Schwabylon with the Yellow Submarine club.
The end of the year is quickly getting closer. Time to look back and forward at the same time. In this post, we would like to take you with us: Let's enjoy the most wonderful time of the year amid Christmas parties, charitable activities, and holiday spirit. Enjoy reading!

In 1977, the seventh tallest skyscraper in New York was opened: the Citicorp Center. Just a year later, it turned out: It could collapse, killing half of Manhattan. A mistake in the structural design almost led to a disaster. How did it come about? You can find this out in our post.

In recent years, in particular, climate protection has been more and more of a focus. The awareness of sustainability has also arrived in the construction industry, but what about the execution? In fact, the construction industry is having a hard time. Our guest today, Sebastian Langer, talks to us about hurdles and opportunities for greater climate awareness. Are timber structures the solution to all problems? What about modular structures? We are excited!
Hand on heart – the construction industry is a real climate killer. It produces more CO2 than most other technical industries. Therefore, something needs to change urgently! A possible alternative to conventional concrete structures is the use of clay. Houses have been built and expanded using this method for thousands of years. Nevertheless, something has been forgotten. Today, clay builder Stephan Egginger is our guest, and we are curious as to what he can tell us about this fascinating building material!
