RFEM 6 | FEM Structural Analysis Software

Structural Analysis & Engineering Software

The FEA program RFEM allows for quick and easy modeling, structural and dynamic calculation, as well as design of models with member, plate, wall, folded plate, shell, and solid elements.

Due to the modular software concept, you can connect the main program RFEM with the corresponding add‑ons in order to meet your individual requirements.

First Steps with RFEM

First steps

We provide hints and tips to help you get started with the basic program RFEM.

The structural analysis program RFEM provides structural engineers with a 3D FEA program that meets all requirements in modern civil engineering. Efficient data input and intuitive handling facilitate the modeling of simple and complex structures.

The structural analysis software RFEM is the basis of a modular software system. The basic program RFEM is used to define structures, materials, and loads for planar and spatial structural systems consisting of plates, walls, shells and members. The program also allows you to create combined structures as well as model solid and contact elements.

RFEM calculates deformations, internal forces, stresses, support forces, and soil contact stresses. Load wizards facilitate the application of wind loads, snow loads, and other loads. With the help of add-ons, you can carry out additional analysis and design according to various standards (for example, in reinforced concrete, steel, and timber structures).

The modular software concept allows you to compile a program package tailored to your individual needs. It is possible to upgrade the program at any time.

Design check formulas used in the design (including a reference to the used equation from the standard) are clearly displayed. As a result, there is no "black box" calculation. All input data and results can be documented in the multilingual printout report. The scope of the output can be adjusted individually.

Enjoying Structural Analyses

“Great praise again, I really enjoy my structural analyses with RFEM. Your advertising slogan is actually true.”

Advantages of Spatial FEA Model

"The spatial FEA model offered very good options to analyze and design the load-bearing behavior of a special complex structure in a verifiable way. Due to the extremely high safety requirements concerning the most famous landmark of Germany, the Brandenburg Gate, it was necessary to mount the support structure in two stages. The specific mounting situations could be modeled very well in RFEM."
